14-Day Statutory Right of Withdrawal

Consumers who purchase eligible goods online generally have the right to withdraw from the purchase without providing a reason within 14 days after receiving the goods.

For orders containing several goods delivered separately, the applicable statutory period will be calculated according to French and European consumer law.

Electronic Withdrawal Function

As of June 19, 2026, online merchants selling to EU consumers are required to provide an easily accessible electronic withdrawal function that allows customers to exercise their withdrawal right directly through the online interface. Returning Goods After Withdrawal

After you notify us that you are withdrawing from an eligible purchase, you must return the goods within the period required by applicable law.

French government guidance provides that consumers generally have 14 days following notification of withdrawal to return the product.

Return Condition

Where permitted by law, customers may be responsible for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary for such inspection.

The absence of original packaging does not automatically eliminate a statutory right where applicable law provides otherwise.

Clothing and Fashion Products

For clothing, apparel, and fashion-related products, customers are encouraged to try items carefully and avoid unnecessary handling beyond what would reasonably be permitted when inspecting an item.

Items should not be deliberately damaged, altered, washed, stained, perfumed, or used beyond reasonable inspection if they are being returned under a change-of-mind withdrawal.

This provision does not restrict remedies available for defective or non-conforming goods.

Return Shipping Costs for Change-of-Mind Returns

For a standard change-of-mind return under the statutory withdrawal right, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods unless we agree to cover that cost or applicable law requires us to do so.

Customers will not be charged return shipping costs for a confirmed error attributable to us where applicable law requires those costs to be borne by the seller.

Refunds Following Withdrawal

When a valid withdrawal request is exercised, we will refund amounts required under applicable law.

vintage-clothing-store-jam.shop provides free standard outbound shipping, so there is normally no standard shipping charge originally paid by the customer to reimburse.

Refunds relating to lawful withdrawal are generally required within 14 days after the seller is informed of the withdrawal, although reimbursement may in appropriate circumstances be withheld until the goods are returned or sufficient evidence of return has been provided.

Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method unless another method is expressly agreed and permitted by law.

Return Shipping Evidence

Customers are encouraged to retain proof of return shipment until the return and refund process is complete.

Where the customer selects and controls the return carrier, responsibility for the return journey will be determined according to applicable law.

Damaged Products

Legal Guarantee of Conformity

Statutory rights concerning defective or non-conforming goods are independent of the 14-day change-of-mind withdrawal right.

Consumers buying qualifying products from professional sellers in France benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity.

For qualifying consumer goods, this guarantee generally covers defects appearing within two years following delivery.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, remedies may include repair, replacement, price reduction, or termination of the sale/refund.

Nothing in our voluntary return procedures reduces those legal rights.

Hidden Defects

Exchanges

Direct exchanges may be available depending on product availability.

We cannot guarantee an exchange for every item.

Where an exchange cannot be completed, an eligible item may be returned and a replacement product purchased separately.

External banking processing times are outside our control.

Sale Products

Discounted or promotional products remain protected by mandatory statutory rights.

A reduced price does not eliminate applicable rights regarding withdrawal or legally non-conforming goods.

Fraudulent or Abusive Claims

We reserve the right to reasonably investigate suspected fraudulent or abusive return claims.

This provision will not be used to prevent customers from exercising legitimate statutory rights.
